- Description: Keep opening hours, attraction status and your group’s plans separate. A short checklist before agreeing on the day.

A park can be open while the ride your group came for is unavailable. A ride can be available while half the group would rather do something else. Before treating a saved itinerary as a shared commitment, check three different things: the park's opening hours, current attraction information, and the plans of the people coming with you.

This is a planning checklist, not a live operating report. PairQueue is independent of the parks mentioned here. We have not verified that a particular attraction will run on your visit date.

## 1\. Check the park, on the date you mean

Start with the park's official calendar. For Magic Mountain, use its [calendar and hours](https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/park-hours?ref=lineup.pairqueue.com), then select the date you are considering. Do this before agreeing on travel and arrival times. A search result or screenshot from an earlier visit can point you in the right direction without establishing the hours for your trip.

Send the date and source to the group rather than only saying “the park is open.” Make it easy for someone to notice that they are looking at a different weekend. If the calendar does not settle a question about admission or an event, check the park's ticket information or ask the park directly. This checklist does not establish what your ticket includes.

## 2\. Check attractions separately

The official [Cedar Point closure page](https://www.sixflags.com/cedarpoint/scheduled-ride-closures?ref=lineup.pairqueue.com) distinguishes scheduled closures and modified operating hours, and directs visitors to the official Six Flags app for availability information. It also says that attraction availability can change without notice. A calendar showing an open park therefore cannot promise that every attraction will be running.

Magic Mountain also has an official [scheduled closure page](https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/scheduled-ride-closures?ref=lineup.pairqueue.com). Check the park you are actually visiting. Do not copy one park's ride status into another park's plan, or turn a scheduled-closure list into a guarantee about every attraction it does not mention.

Write down one priority and one alternative. Recheck official information close to departure and follow current park instructions when you arrive. Avoid promising a reopening time that the park has not provided.

## 3\. Check that the group still wants the plan

Now ask each person what they want from the day. Someone may want a specific ride, a relaxed afternoon, or time together between attractions. Those answers can change after the operating information changes.

A simple group message is enough:

> “Here is the date and the official operating information. What is your first choice, what would you skip, and what should we do if the first choice is unavailable?”

Give people room to decline a ride without having to justify it. Choose an identifiable public regrouping point and a way to contact one another. A companion plan does not reserve queue space, permit line cutting, or replace the park's admission and ride rules.

## A useful check before you leave

- The date and opening hours come from the right park's current calendar.
- Your priority attraction has been checked against official operating information.
- The people going have agreed on a fallback and a way to regroup.

Keep these three checks separate. That gives you a plan you can revise when something changes, instead of an itinerary that only works if every assumption holds.

PairQueue is an independent app for adults 18+ exploring compatible ride companions. A compatible rider may not be available. App access and a Lineup subscription are separate choices.
